I was playing a 2012 USA Std tele into a DRRI and it was pretty great. I tried like 5 different pedals and the one that met the previously stated criteria the best was the Boss DD-3. I was looking for something that would give me great country slapback when playing palm muted chicken picken stuff but then be almost unnoticeable when playing leads and chord stuff. While the Aqua Puss was ok (didn't color my tone near as much as the carbon copy) it's still analog and not transparent. As far as my delay problem, I went to GC and tried several "high end" aka "overpriced" analog and digital delays. Otherwise I'm just gonna buy that older Catalinbread Chili on reverb with the fat switch. I'll probably just call it something like "Real non-OD Boost pedals" Is it possible to find these Orman pedals? I think I'll try to start a thread about non OD boost pedals but you guys are gonna have to help me because I'm not totally sure sometimes which is which. I've been looking but can only find the Analog Man Bad Bobs. Most demos i saw were of the one with the fat switch and everyone said it was the coolest feature! lol what the hell?! Any idea why they got rid of the fat switch? Seems like a really cool function. The pedal is only like $109 brand new, which is about what i want to pay for a boost pedal.Īs far as the Orman stuff goes, i've heard of it before but were they made by a company? When i googled it i just saw a bunch of schematics and DIY pedals. But more importantly, it doesn't have that fat switch like the one in the Just Nick video (i'll post it below). For one they don't have the big red pepper anymore, it still has a pepper but it looks different. But the Super Picosos i see on Catalinbread's site now look totally different. I really like that it has a fat switch to help when using it with scooped Fender type amps. The one in this "Just Nick" demo sounds good. I really like the Catalinbread Super Chili Picoso Boost, which I think, is the "pepper boost" you're referring to. I can't find any good clips of it(the pegasus) and i don't want to just shell out $155 for a boost pedal i've never really heard.
